We need another hero. If you can, please donate now through Paypal.
Defibrillator Gallery is moving. We will begin programing at our new home within the Zhou B Art Center in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago beginning in February 2018. This dramatic and welcome change comes as we celebrate our seven year anniversary. Our inaugural exhibition, *SPARK, took place in December 2010, at our silver-walled DIY space on Milwaukee Avenue. Four years later we relocated to the spacious Chicago Avenue location, our home for the past three years.
We hope you value this milestone as much as we do. Moving is expensive. Relocation costs will be overwhelming. If you can, please consider supporting our transition by giving online through Paypal.
Defibrillator Gallery [a.k.a. DFBRL8R or dfb] is an international platform for performance art founded by Executive Director, Joseph Ravens in 2010. Brave and thoughtful programming aims to provoke and stimulate discourse surrounding underrepresented voices and unique forms of time-based art. Defibrillator champions work that looks to the body in concert and conversation with time, object, space, architecture, and society. Visit the archives at DFBRL8R.org to learn more.
