WTSFIM is a two-night installation and performance exhibition featuring works from nine Chicago-based artists who work in installation, performance, sound, film and video. This event highlights material reconfigurations of screen-based works previously shown at Nightingale Cinema this past October, in the program Fragmented Pools.
WTSFIM questions the distinctions of dis/connection and the un/real in an attempt to activate space through a series of aesthetic investigations. These uncanny notions of materiality illuminate the mundane in the manner of magical realism.
The Shapeshifters graduate seminar was developed by Frédéric Moffet at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is currently being taught by Latham Zearfoss. WTSFIM includes work by
