TAIAT DANSA will spend the month of AUGUST between NEW YORK and CHICAGO where they will present two works from the company, both choreographed by INMA GARCIA and MERTIXELL BARBERÁ. in addition, they will be working on a new creation especially for the company DANCEWORKS, CHICAGO.
TAIAT DANSA is to present the episode III of of the project “NO HALF MEASURES. EPISODES of DANCE in MUSEUMS” in the MUSEUM of the CITY of NEW YORK next 14th of AUGUST. this work, currently on tour through museums and contemporary art centres throughout SPAIN, is making the leap onto the international stage with the start a new round of episodes in museums in the international panorama.
their successful work “WE are GOING to MAKE YOU DANCE: CHASING PATTI SMITH” arrives in CHICAGO on the 23rd of AUGUST. MERITXELL BARBERÁ and INMA GARCÍA will dance this visceral piece, currently on tour in SPAIN and EUROPE, in the DEBFIBRILLATOR GALLERY. this showcase version of the complete work delves into the ups and downs of the journey of two die-hard fans on the hunt for the artist PATTI SMITH.
the choreographers of TAIAT DANSA will begin a new work entitled “MAN RAY DANCER” for DANCEWORKS, CHICAGO. a presentation of this ‘work in progress’ for public viewing will take the stage on the 25th of AUGUST at the INSTITUTO CERVANTES DE CHICAGO.
