FISH is a trans*lensed adaptation of THE LITTLE MERMAID, using DISNEY nostalgia, drag performance, DJs, rap performance, video, object theatre, among other forms to create a bracing exploration of its creators’ own gender dysphoria. FISH has been developed through the SALONATHON presents SUMMER inc. RESIDENCY at the UNIVERSITY of CHICAGO with support from the CHANCES DANCES CRITICAL FIERCENESS grant.
