We’re doing some spring cleaning at DEFIBRILLATOR. Maybe you are, too. Bring your unwanted items to us and we will sell them in our BAZAAR. Funds raised go toward HOUSING and MEALS for VISITING ARTISTS for our fourth annual International Performance Art Festival, RAPID PULSE. Artist materials, furniture, brick-a-brac, books, clothes, kids stuff, jewelry…you name it, we’ll sell it. Wanna donate? We will take items UNTIL FRI 01 MAY. The sale ends at 6PM SUN 03 MAY. RAPID PULSE International Performance Art Festival takes place 04-14 JUNE 2015. Produced by Defibrillator Gallery Rapid Pulse will exhibit live performances by international, national, and local artists who were invited by the curatorial committee or selected from an international call for proposals. Rapid Pulse also includes public interventions, a video series, social events, artist talks, and panel discussions. Spilling over to other venues in the neighborhood, the festival embraces the local and the global simultaneously. We aim to invigorate Chicago by bringing to the city artists of exceptional caliber from around the world. Dynamic programming, decidedly fearless and unique, aims to provoke thought and stimulate discourse surrounding performance art.
